All of our raving about how much we love London didn’t go unnoticed by the Visit London crew, who recently contacted us to ask if we’d like to share some of the Peckham attractions that we enjoy with them. I’m sure you can guess how thrilled I was when I found out! After all, what does London mean to us, and there are so many places areas to explore here.
Covent Garden, Shoreditch, and Notting Hill are all popular destinations, but there are several other potentially more intriguing areas to visit in London if you’re willing to dig a little deeper. What are the Things to do in Peckham, London?
If you’re in Peckham for the holidays, there are several activities and places to keep you entertained throughout your stay. Here is the best compilation of the most interesting things to do in Peckham, London and places to visit:
1. Try out some jellied eels at M. Manze
Peckham High Street’s M. Manze is London’s oldest (and still family-owned) pie and mash restaurant in the city, sitting high above the street. If you’ve got a craving for a taste of old London, this is the place to go. Just make sure you try some jellied eels while you’re at it! It’s either loved or hated, but it’s an essential part of London that you simply must try. For what it’s worth, it sounds scarier than it tastes and is one of the finest activities to do in Peckham if you want to learn about London’s foodie history.
2. Peckham’s Refreshment Rooms are a great restaurant for refreshments
This is a must-visit place for brunch or lunch, which is only a short walk from Peckham Rye Station. You’ll be greeted with some traditional British dishes as soon as you walk through the door. The squeak and bubble dish is amazing! It’s an old-fashioned combination of vegetables that are griddled, fried, and served piping hot. There are African restaurants in London that serve homemade African dishes.
Traditionally, it was a “leftover” dinner that people made to avoid wasting food, but it has now evolved into its own meal.
3. At Peckham Levels, enjoy a drink while you watch the sunset
Follow the neon-coloured signs from Rye Lane and enter the multi-coloured passageway that leads to the Peckham Levels. This abandoned automobile park has everything from foodie hotspots, to art, restaurants, and even cocktail bars, all of which are tucked away within its crumbling walls. Now it may sound strange, but believe me when I say this is one of the greatest activities to do in Peckham for a drink or two.

4. Enjoy African Cuisine at Agrobeso African Cuisine
Remember I mentioned London having a delicious blend of cuisines? Agrobeso African Cuisine serves some of the most delectable Jollof Rice and meat stew you’ll ever have the pleasure of savouring. If you want to taste some of the best Nigerian food south of the Thames, Peckham is one of the greatest places to go. It’s all about the grub at Agrobeso; it’s what sells their wonderfully spicy meals.
Try pounded yam or eba with a stew here if you want to take your culinary journey further. There is nothing more Nigerian than this, is there? See these African kitchens in Uk that serve the finest African delicacies.
5. Watch the sunset from Frank’s
In the summer, Frank’s opens its doors to everyone so that we may take in the city views while sipping on many a delicious drink. Frank’s is a fantastic spot to watch the sun go down over London while drinking Pimm’s, sangria, or local brews since it is located on top of a parking garage which is actually sexier than it sounds.
As the evening approaches, Frank’s becomes a humming little institution inhabited by a diverse crowd and is one of the fun things to do in Peckham if you want a fun gathering with your pals.

7. At Rye Wax, you’ll find some vinyl and local brews
Rye Wax is always a surprise to me. Rye Wax, for example, doesn’t appear to be much on the outside but rest assured, it’s one of those places with a tremendous sense of occasion. Furthermore, Rye Wax has a lot of vintage vinyl that you can buy and plenty of retro board games to play; moreover, it features a live DJ who seems to constantly play the greatest songs you’ve never heard before. It’s a great little place and one of the best things to do in Peckham if you enjoy vinyl.
8. Visit K-ink for some of the city’s best tattoos
Yes, you may leave London with an obligatory keyring and a London Bus fridge magnet. If you want something more permanent, K-ink is the place to go. K-ink’s resident and guest staff invest in their craft and produce some of the most beautiful tattoos imaginable. Now I still haven’t gotten a tattoo myself, but this is the location I always notice (and hear great things about).
If it’s your thing, make sure you reserve a spot ahead of time and give yourself enough time for the sessions you want. It’s not cool to have half-finished tattoos.
9. Get the heart racing at The Yard
CrossFit is for everyone. I went to the gym, and all of a sudden it was like being in an episode of Strong Medicine. Of course, there are different varieties of CrossFit available – including one from Peckham Yard that has opened a really cool CrossFit center not far from the Copeland Gallery. This is where you’ll find your motivation again if you’ve lost it.

On the other hand, if you’re in need of a slice of cake, go to the Refreshment Rooms instead. This is unquestionably one of the greatest activities to do in London if you enjoy being active. However, if that’s not the case, then you’ll despise it!
10. TRAID Peckham is a good place to go thrift shopping
TRAID Peckham, located on Rye Lane in the heart of London’s Peckham area, is a trendy thrift shop that focuses on recognizable pieces that will catch the eye. Are you looking for 1980s shellsuits, Varsity Jackets, or glitter slippers? This is the location to visit if you’re seeking any of these items.
