Here is Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 Review from our Editors and Customers

1. Braun Silk-expert Pro 5 PL5137 IPL

The Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 is one of the most popular IPL hair removal machines on the market. If you’re not aware, intense pulse light refers to intense pulsed light, and these devices may be used at home to successfully and painlessly reduce body hair regrowth. They won’t permanently remove bodily hair

The Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 is a high-performance epilator with a built-in SensoAdapt feature that changes the intensity of light based on the skin tone. There are several versions (we tested the Silk-expert Pro 5 PL5124), but they all have the same basic machine. I’ve been using one for the past 8 months and I’m really happy with it.

2. Great Value with its Features and Functions

The Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 is a high-quality IPL machine with some unique features to help it stand out. The SensoAdapt which constantly monitors your skin tone and automatically adjusts the light intensity for efficient and safe treatment, are one significant feature. There are 10 distinct intensity levels; a bar on the side of the device indicates which one it’s using, which isn’t particularly useful but does imply that this function is working.

You may also use the ‘Gentle’ option to manually lower the light’s intensity. The feather button switches between regular, gentle, and extra gentle modes. Two different-sized heads can be switched from one another to accommodate various regions. The wider head is good for moving quickly over large, flat surfaces while the narrower one is ideal for smaller or more difficult places. Because not all packs include the precision head, check first before purchasing it.

You may also decide between glide and stamp modes, which turn on automatically as you move the machine. Slide the Silk Expert Pro 5 over your skin and it will flash rapidly in glide mode. The latter is for more precision and is activated by firmly pressing and releasing on the targeted region. I can’t really fault it from a design standpoint. The only major disadvantage is that there isn’t a cordless model available.

The Silk Expert Pro 5 is capable of producing 400,000 flashes. The highest-end Philips Lumea Prestige (our #1 rated IPL machine at the moment of writing) has 250,000. Braun claims that it lasts 22 years in terms of treatment, which makes the price seem more reasonable.

The revised Expert 6 has an improved energy capacity of 3500 mAh, allowing you to treat two legs in under five minutes at the lowest setting. If you’re concerned about your safety, don’t be — there’s a recommendation from the Skin Health Alliance (a prominent worldwide skin health organisation working with dermatologists and researchers) for extra peace of mind.

3. My first experience with an IPL Hair removal and it made a great and lasting first impression

The Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 can be used on the body, including the underarms and bikini regions. It’s also great for removing sparse facial hair, but not complete beards or around the eyes. The Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 is most successful for individuals with dark hair and light to medium skin tones, similar to all IPL machines. Those with fair body hair or dark skin are unlikely to find the devices effective. When it comes to bathrobes, the Sorel brand is well-known for its variety. This one, however, has an extra caution: because of the SensoAdapt, it’s not meant for usage on dark skin.

Before you try IPL to remove body hair, you’ll need to use another technique, such as shaving, waxing, or epilating. Apply once a week for 4-12 weeks as a start-up; then go ahead and tweeze as needed for maintenance. The Silk Expert Pro 5 is really simple to work with and causes almost no discomfort. Occasionally, the head becomes heated up, and occasionally you’ll get a little sting where you missed removing hair before – but when compared to waxing or epilating, it’s nothing more than going for a stroll in the park.

4. Works perfectly the way I want

Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 Reviews

Yes. My body hair has gotten a lot fewer and slower growing, and it’s much finer since I’ve been using the Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 for over eight months. It has had the most impact on my legs, which is to be expected owing to their pale colour and smoother texture. However, in other areas, the difference is quite obvious. a white-skinned individual with dark hair, I’m basically an IPL machine’s fantasy. Depending on your skin and hair type, it will be more or less effective for you. It’s also worth noting that if you don’t maintain your hair with top-ups on a regular basis, it will eventually return to its natural form over time.

The start-up period is a pain – shaving and IPLing your entire body once a week is quite the demanding regimen. However, after two or three applications, I noticed that there was considerably less hair growing back, and afterwards, it was all very simple. Even with the aggravating two-step hair removal method, maintenance was a breeze., is faster and more long-lasting than any other hair removal method I’ve used (and I’ve tried them all).

The finer, sparser hairs that result after epilating also eliminate the risk of ingrown hairs and irritable skin, which is a common problem with other hair-removal techniques. Finally, there’s the added benefit of not having to grow your hair back to a particular length before removing it – so you can enjoy relaxing in short pants from now until summer.

5. Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 is simply Amazing!

I was quite amazed by the Braun Silk Expert Pro 5. It’s simple to use, with an ergonomic design and easy buttons, and it’s almost completely painless. It will differ based on your skin tone and hair type, but for me, it was very effective. The price is hefty, but long-term hair removal is never cheap. Keep in mind that discounts are not unheard of (check the widget below for the best current price in your region). And with a 22-year lifespan, I’d say it’s well worth the money. There’s no doubt this is one of the finest IPL machines on the market.

6. Great Value for the Money

The Braun IPL comes in a lovely package, with a patterned zip-up storage bag that harkens back to the 1920s. The handset, booklet, cable, and spare head all fit perfectly. It’s lightweight and extremely comfortable to use – even on hard-to-reach spots. I felt confident using it because it looked like it was of excellent quality.

I’ve been using this on my legs and armpits every week. There are ten levels of zap and three comfort settings. For my legs, I use the highest setting, whereas, for my pits, I use the middle option. It’s not really painful; it’s just a little warm. And if you zap the exact same location twice in a row, it becomes somewhat unpleasant, but nothing catastrophic occurs. I just always need to wear sunglasses when using them.

My hair has not grown as fast since I began using this product. Since it’s my first time undergoing IPL, and according to what I’ve read, I’ll need to do more treatments in the beginning so that they need to be done less frequently. In week six, I discovered significant patches of balding hair as well as slow-growing hair. This is also great for getting rid of ingrown hairs.

The smaller headset is ideal for close to the ankles and knees, as well as more finesse pit zapping. I was taken aback by how quickly it operates – I can complete both legs and armpits in less than ten minutes!

7. Helping in my Battle of the Bearded Lady

Prior to using IPL, I had a lot of concerns about having to remove the problematic areas on my face before using IPL, (I checked to make sure it was not necessary), the shaving turned out to be quicker and easier than standing in front of the mirror for 20 minutes every day trying to find those pesky hairs and after the hairs grow back again. But this device does what it said it can do! My beard has definitely thinned, and the sides of my chin are finally slowing down, whereas the right side isn’t so much but I believe it’s due to the roots being quite fair and the hair being thick.

I’ve used it on my legs and armpits, and the difference is clear – consistency is important. Choose one day each week to do the treatment; doing it full-body should take you no more than 40 minutes, including shaving. It’s an excellent investment, but I believe that results may vary considerably.

8. I wish I had found this ages ago!

I’d seen these devices around, but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on something that might not work. Then it went on sale at Farmers, and I decided to try it. I should have done this months ago and saved thousands of dollars on salon treatments!

I’ve been using this on my arms and it’s not unpleasant at all, and the effects began to show after four weeks. I was applying for it once a week. Now I’m zapping the few stubborn hairs that require treatment every three weeks (or when I remember). It warns against using this in the summer when you may be tanned because your skin will be tanned. I’m naturally pale with black hair. Also, use this on other parts of your body, including your face, and there is no discomfort at all.

Overall, it is quick and simple to use, and the power cable is extremely long, which is essential. While the outcomes may be somewhat slower than professional salon treatments, the cost, and simplicity of doing it yourself completely outweigh this one little disadvantage.

9. I was really pleased!

I began using this gadget completely hoping it would work but was a little hesitant. I’ve always had trouble with ingrown hairs and dislike summer, so I’ve previously spent thousands of dollars at the in-store clinic on the laser (but it’s been quite expensive and unpleasant).

I began using the Braun IPL on a Monday (it’s worth noting that I was consistent) and immediately observed results. It’s really simple to operate and quick, and the discomfort is quite tolerable. After three treatments, my hair started growing back more slowly and patchy, and I imagine after ten sessions it would be completely gone. So pleased with this product, which I would strongly suggest to anyone!

My greatest advice is to keep your eyes shut or wear sunglasses as the light is extremely strong, and to make sure you don’t miss any areas on the bigger portions, like the legs.

10. With a simple and elegant design, this is an excellent choice for removing unwanted

The Braun Silk-Expert Pro 5 is fantastic, the discomfort isn’t really too bad, and you have control over which setting works best for you. I had my doubts because I have black hair, but after watching YouTube video tutorials, I realised that it didn’t hurt as much as I thought.

My hair has grown less and I no longer need to worry about shaving as frequently. Professional IPL was previously avoided because of the painful and lengthy procedure, as well as fear of pain! I can now opt for laser hair removal at home whenever I choose, which allows me to get rid of unwanted hair in the comfort of space and my own schedule, and in only three weeks, I’ve seen results. The design is basic and provides a solid grip. If I had to choose between this one and another based on its appearance and functionality, I’d pick this one every time. It’s silly to focus on something so superficial, but a product’s branding and appearance are significant.

Tips – Take care of the overall appearance by avoiding direct light, excessive moisture, and steam. Avoid direct light, excessive dampness, and steam when treating tiny regions.
